Gym as life
I recently went back to the gym after a year off. I became very self-conscious, even though I have lifted for almost 20 years. Are people looking at me? They are lifting much more weight than me, so they must be more experienced than me. They must be judging my weight and form right now.
Eventually I snapped out of it. I was there for my own workout. It doesn’t matter what people think of my weight or form (unless I’m doing something dangerous). What matters is I went to exercise and stay active. Let them think whatever they want about me.
But more likely they are busy with their own workout and not even thinking about me. Life is like that, too.
