I started blogging at the start of this year after I met Tomas Laurinavicius who inspired me to do so.

Well, technically, I’ve only blogged properly for about 2 months then and stopped for more than half a year. The feeling of knowing that I gave up so easily is not nice so I’ve decided to start blogging again; this time, more consistently.

My 2 main inspirations to start blogging properly now come from Ryan Hoover and Joel Gascoigne.

In the article Product Hunt is Everywhere – This is How It Got There, Ryan Hoover said,

“A lot of people say they want to found a startup, but they don’t know what they want to do. You absolutely can’t force it. But, if you know this, you can be thoughtful about building a community while you’re waiting for the right idea or the right moment.”

I’m precisely the “a lot of people” that he was referring to. So one of the purposes of this blog is to build a community and audience and to connect with them.

The other purpose of this blog is to share what I’ve learnt throughout my entrepreneurship journey. On the topic of whether entrepreneurs should blog, William Mougayar said,

It would be hard to find an entrepreneur who won’t admit being influenced or helped by someone else’s blog in the past 5 years.  You’re getting help for free, so why not help others now?

Reading blog posts by successful entrepreneurs has helped to shape my thinking and attitude towards entrepreneurship, which, I believe, will help me on my entrepreneurship journey. Joel Gascoigne is one of such entrepreneurs, who regularly shares the things he learnt on his blog and Buffer’s blog.

I don’t consider myself as an entrepreneur yet but I’m sure that I can still share my experiences and help those in the same situation as me.

So look out for my future blog posts!
